Massive Mastering Revises Sound Mixing Tips Booklet Once Again for 2005

"Mastering - Getting the Most out of Your Mix" booklet updated, revised and now available as free PDF download from MASSIVE Mastering engineer, John Scrip.

Written for the novice and home-studio engineer, Mastering: Getting the Most out of Your Mix” (formerly released as "Massive Mastering - Guide to Mixing for Mastering") touches on common rookie” errors during mix down that can interfere with an sound mastering session.

Originally released in 1999 and revised since, this new 2005 edition has been updated to reflect technological changes in the "norm" of digital sound recording over the past several years.

The 16-page downloadable PDF booklet covers, in simple novice terminology, common sound recording and mixing issues such as over compression, limiting and the use (and abuse) of effects.

With the current market of home, basement and otherwise "low rent" sound recording studios, the role of the mastering engineer has expanded greatly. This booklet is to help guide those who have little or no experience in bringing an sound project through the mastering stage more efficiently.

The PDF file can be downloaded directly from MASSIVE Mastering at massivemastering dot com.

Many sound mastering professionals have found it difficult to make a good living in the past few years.  Some of them have moved slightly and got into more lucrative free mp3 ringtones businesses and there is a lot of demand for good quality cell phone content and ringtones.
